Basketball is Back!

Last weekend, the Runnin’ Utes tipped off the season with a monstrous 128-44 win over the Evergreen State Geoducks (Yes, that’s really their mascot. No, it’s not a Pokemon). The victory set a new record at the Huntsman Center, and over 300 students were on hand to witness it. If you weren’t one of them, you still have plenty of opportunities to come check out the Utes.
The next chance you have is on Friday night at 8. Utah is taking on the UC Davis Aggies. Unlike the Utes’ last opponent, the Aggies should provide a competitive game. The Utes will look to continue the success they started building last season, and this game will be big in doing so.
Students can still bring 4 guests to each game for free, so tell your friends and family that the Jon M. Huntsman Center is the place to be on Friday night! Make sure to come before tip off to get your free shirt and raffle ticket, and then have a blast cheering on the Utes. There are plenty of new cheers and traditions this year to accompany old classics.
Coach Krystkowiak is asking for high attendance at the game, so let’s bring the noise! He’s even offered to hand a $100 bill to someone in the MUSS if we can get attendance over 700. Still need motivation? Students that show up before tip off can be entered into a raffle to win front row MUSS seats to the Utah vs. Colorado football game on November 30. Just bring your U-card and pick up a raffle ticket. It’s that easy.
We’ll see you on Friday. GO UTES!
